BWP & Sons Excavation

Was referred to BWP for a new driveway and foundation work. Came out great. Will use again.

Brad stayed in communication with us through the project from our initial meeting through permitting, planning and execution. Brad was able to complete all of the work except a few final touches due to winter weather that was out of his control. He will return in the spring to complete those few final touches, and to make sure that everything stayed as planned. Thanks for the follow through Brad.

We hired BWP & Sons to install two septic systems at two different houses in November 2019 and June 2020 - both jobs were excellent and Brad communicated everything we should expect including schedule and cost - they did the little extras like moving plants and seeding the site - the crew was on time every day and they worked to be sure we weren’t without the toilets for very long. I would definitely recommend this company and would hire them again!

I needed a new septic system and hired Brad for that work. What can you say about a septic system? It works, it doesn't have one of those candy cane vent pipes (thank you!!!) and Brad's price was competitive. He got the work done when he said he would, and he and Naomi were very responsive to my constant questions. A week or so after the work was done Brad offered to help me decide how to manage a damp basement, just friendly advice that was much appreciated. And while he was there I asked him about landscaping and stonework to improve the front yard. He connected me with Coastal Landscaping and he coordinated the work so that the front yard now slopes away from the house and porch (which should help with the basement dampness) and the yard looks lovely from the street. And the stone work is fantastic. (See my review for Coastal Landscaping.). This work went so smoothly and the end result is amazing. It exceeded my expectations for how it would look when done. Worth every penny and would not have been nearly so successful without Brad's input and connections, Hire this guy!

Short story: I can safely say that BWP & Sons are unique in the contractor world for the following reasons: - Attention to detail: seldom have I seen contractors that focus on the "last 10%". That is, many will do a great job and then sort of fizzle out towards the end, either getting angsty to finish the job and making mistakes, or outright not doing cleanup tasks like finishing touches, trash removal, etc. Brad left the excavation site better than it was before. Unbelievable attention to detail. - Timing: Brad worked hard on Saturday, and came back Sunday to finish the job. He texted often, let me know when he was planning on coming/leaving. - Value: we all want cheap, fast, high quality work but as the saying goes, you can only ever choose two. With BWP, it's the perfect mix of all three. Quality of the work ranks highest, they're also fast, and definitely appropriately priced. Full story: It's always been hard to find good companies and contractors to do quality work, and recently with the pandemic just finding a company not busy for the next three months seems like an impossible task. We were in need for a new water line and sewage line installed in our garage and after getting a ridiculous quote from a plumber, I had the pleasure of reaching out to Brad. He not only came with experience that made it much more reasonable for him to give me an accurate estimate of the job cost, he was also extremely responsive and accommodating. He did what few contractors would do and actually tried finding good alternatives to obstacles that benefited the house and not just made the job get done quicker. For example, rather than dismantling the wooden deck and having to get a carpenter to put it back together, Brad hand shoveled under the stairs to access the foundation...4 feet underground! I'm honestly waiting for me to have enough money for another project with BWP. I'm starting to think that the best way to do house projects is not to find something that needs done in the house and then searching for a company/contractor to do the work, but rather find good contractors first and then adapt the project to their skills. They always go above and beyond for our business, as well as for our town rec department. In the winter I don’t even have to call and our lot is salted and good to go. On days it may not need it he doesn’t do it. That goes along way. We Never have to worry about being charged for something not needed. For our town rec department, his field work is perfect. We have 2 of the nicest baseball and softball fields in the area thanks to BWP. His pricing also cannot be beat. He was thousands of dollars less than any quote building our softball field. Great people ! I would highly recommend for any needs excavating or winter plowing/salting.

This past spring, we finally acknowledged that we had a big septic replacement project on our hands. After hours and hours of researching septic designers and installers throughout the region (scouring their websites and every online review we could find), we narrowed our list down to our half-dozen favorites and had each come out to the property to discuss our dilemma and to get their ideas on how best to proceed. We anticipated that choosing who to hire from amongst this group would be a tough decision. However, Brad and crew set themselves so far apart from everyone else that we knew we were going with him before he left the driveway. What impressed us the most was how he listened to us describe our unique situation rather than just showing up and telling us what he would do. It was clear to us that he genuinely cares about doing good work and leaving his customers above-and-beyond satisfied. The project is now in the rearview mirror, and Brad confirmed our initial impressions at every stage along the way. He is a fantastic communicator, diligent, thorough, a problem-solver, and kind. BWP just installed a riding arena on my property. Through every step of the process they were punctual, had great communication, and were quick and efficient with their equipment. Very courteous and careful while operating. The arena was built exactly how I wanted it. I would highly recommend them for your excavation needs! Will hire again!

I've had BWP do multiple jobs for me at my home. They completed a landscape project, installed a retaining wall, regraded driveway, repaired a failing dry well, installed drainage and even excavation and site prep for a pool.
